To go, or not to go; that was the question of the day. It had rained the day before, and although it wasn't too bad that morning, the weather channels weren't promising a spectacular change for the better. We decided we had nothing better to do, and really, it's Oregon; it was doubtful the weather was going to get any better before Halloween. SO, we went.
Isobel had some interesting conversations with the girl working at the Pumpkin Patch. They talked about the weather, the mud, the tractors and when Izzy mentioned the birds and got no response, she yelled "She's not listening to me, Daddy!"
Here's a picture of my two sweeties on the hay ride.Izzy stomping in the mud...again. She couldn't find the "Perfect Pumpkin." They were all big and she wanted a "leetle teenie pumpkin." When it started to rain hard, James picked a pumpkin for her and said "This one's perfect, let's go."
CHEESE!
This was supposed to be a picture of us with our pumpkins. I guess James missed the pumpkins...
Izzy took this one of James and I. Not bad for a two year old.
And the aftermath: Izzy stripped of all muddy and wet clothing and back in her carseat for the ride home.
We had a successful day. We each got a pumpkin, fresh corn on the cob and kettle corn, and a nice nap afterward. Although we had to battle the rain, going early in October seemed to give us more of a choice of pumpkins.
